Lexyrose is a fashion stylist, consultant and illustrator living in new york city. She fell in love with fashion as a child while devouring her mother‘s fashion and interior design magazines, creating fashion narratives of her own by cutting up the pages and pasting the pieces together. excelling at art, lexyrose began to design clothing through fashion illustrations. She began to cultivate her strong eye and talent for mixing textures and fabrics on figures, juxtaposing them against different scenes.
At Parsons School of Design she studied fashion design and photography in the Integrated Design Curriculum, graduating with a bachelor of fine arts. While at Parsons, she further developed her knack for photography and ability to easily work with different personalities and in disparate environments. she knew she had to be a stylist and chose the proper courses to help her reach that goal, enriching her understanding of photography, personalities and clothing, along with the importance each of those elements have in styling. Outside of school, she worked at a clothing boutique on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, eventually earning the highest sales in all of the company’s nyc stores. her strong understanding of the figure, clothing and her energetic personality truly paid off. lexyrose went on to assist various costume designers on films and commercials, before landing a job as the only fashion assistant at corduroy magazine. she became a stand-in market editor, selecting appropriate designers to go with the magazine’s aesthetic. before long, she was styling for the publication itself, assisting various stylists working on shoots for teen vogue korea, ELLE, Details, Interview, and Amica Magazine, as well assisting on campaigns for DKNY Kids and Bobbie Brown Cosmetics.
Two years ago, she went out on her own and started working with musicians and actors, styling them for events. The looks she put together continuously showed up in publications such as INStyle, US Weekly (“How to wear” column) and the New York Post (“Look of the Week” column). She has worked with other publications such as design bureau magazine, for which she recently styled a cover, while styling editorials for them on an ongoing basis. Lexyrose has consulted for brands like Reebok and Catherine Malandrino. in between her various styling projects, she works as a freelance fashion illustrator and edits her own fashion blog, where she provides styling tricks and tips, insights into her creative process, and a peek into her great knowledge of fashion photography and fashion design.
